Spy Photos: 2011 Chevrolet Tacuma

Chevrolet's next people mover has been caught driving under snowy conditions. The 2011 Chevrolet Tacuma will be manufactured in America next to the famous Volt. As spy pictures go, a lot of hard work has gone into making sure that these pictures don't tell any words at all, yet it can be observed from the size point of view that the Tacuma has grown bigger and longer. Those mammoth side mirrors are hopefully not part of the final production model.

Chevy's MPV will probably share a number of commonalities with its European cousin the Opel Zafira. Its interior appointments will no doubt differ too though some parts will appear in duplicate to keep costs under control. Speculation had previously concluded that a Saturn-badged version would also show up at dealer floors but with rumours of Saturn being phased out of the market doing the rounds doubts have now been cast on this idea.

Some engines will be shared with Chevrolet's range of family cars like the new Cruze and the Captiva SUV.

The Tacuma mid-sized MPV began its life in 2000 as a Daewoo but since the Daewoo brand went off the market it was rebadged as a Chevrolet. Competitors in its segment include the Renault Scenic, Hyundai Matrix, Seat Altea and the Volkswagen Touran.
