Citroen C2 and C4 "by Loeb" Special Editions
Citroën’s Junior World Rally Championship contender, the C2, also benefits from the
‘by LOEB’ treatment. With 310 models available to UK buyers, and with a very competitive RRP of £9,995, the 125hp 1.6i 16V C2 by LOEB can reach a top speed of 126mph, is equipped with 16” alloys, and comes in either Sport Red or Black. Inside, it
features a red and black cloth seating trim with embroidered chevrons on the front head restraints, a leather steering wheel and the use of chrome trim.
Unlike Sébastien Loeb’s C4 WRC, the ‘by LOEB’ special editions are equipped to make life as comfortable as possible for those on-board. All models come with the likes of air conditioning, a CD player, front electric windows and at least four airbags as standard, while the 180hp 2.0i 16V C4 by LOEB adds laminated side windows, an alarm, rear parking sensors and a 5 CD autochanger.
Sébastien Loeb is the most successful rally driver of all time, with a total of 28 World Rally Championship wins to date. Since his debut in the WRC with Citroën in 2002 he has dominated the sport, taking the title three years in a row (2004-2006).
Born in 1974 in north east France, Loeb’s rise to international stardom has been rapid. Starting out in 1998 competing in the Citroën Saxo Trophy series, he progressed to the Junior Super 1600 class of the World Rally Championship in 2001. A year later Loeb proved he could race with the greats by scoring his first full WRC win in Germany.
After helping Citroën to its first ever Manufacturer’s title in 2003, Loeb claimed his first Driver’s title in 2004, winning six races on the way. The following year he broke all records with a remarkable 10 victories, and sealed his reputation as rallying’s top driver in 2006 when even a broken arm, suffered with a quarter of the season still remaining, failed to prevent him from being crowned Champion for the third year running.
