Fiat 500 Abarth SS Latest Spy Photos
So much fresh, cold air, so little time! Look at all those holes underneath the grille. Take your eyes higher up on to the hood and witness two more larger holes. Yip. This baby is all about breathing. It’s the Fiat 500 Abarth SS, the nippy little Italian pony whose job is to displace MINI’s Cooper S. Note the extra tailpipe, how grown both are.
Caught performing extreme winter testing in Scandinavia, the 500 Abarth SS is scheduled for launch appearance next year, after it has done a few motor shows of course. Encouraging the Fiat 500 Abarth SS is a 1.4-litre turbo engine estimated to produce between 160 to 170 bhp (119kW to 127kW). These figures are well within Cooper S territory. This is the same engine, albeit mapped differently, used by big brothers Grande Punto and Bravo.
